The Violin also known as the 'Fiddle' belongs to the family of Musical Instruments called 'Strings', in fact it's the first in the family of strings. It is mostly played using a bow (ARCO) and sometimes it's played by plucking the string with the fingers (PIZZICATO) It ranges from G3 to E7. E7 is the highest note played with the Violin in classical music, but the Violin can go even higher than E7 depending on the length of the fingerboard and the skills of the violinist.

In history the Violin was first used in early 16th century in ITALY with some further modifications in 18th and 19th century.

Playing Posture
We have to first understand that Posture generally flows from us the player of the instrument, we don't want to learn any further without understanding how Posture flows from us. We're Humans with emotion, so! we play how we feel, you don't want to play a piece without being "joined" with the writer's deepest meaning {emotion(s)} to the piece of music.

Now to the physical playing (carrying) Posture.
The first thing in this aspect is to understand that proper body stance equals fine violin playing. With that in mind, the weight of the body is to be carried equally with both legs, the right leg can slightly be put forward, the knees must be relaxed, the back has to be straight, but not so straight that the chest protrudes (the chest has to be in a relatively natural and relaxed position). With all these in place, you can now pick up the Violin.
