Meaning: Acoustic resonance is a phenomenon in which an acoustic system amplifies sound waves whose frequency matches one of its own natural frequencies of vibration.
In more practical explanation. Be in a room with a Guitar, a Piano, a Cello and a violin and ensure they are all tune to standard(Pythagorean tuning). Pick up any of the instrument and sound a G, you would notice, everything tune to a G in that room vibrates. Sometimes it's not very obvious to see, but it's vibrates regardless.
